Mission Statement

Bkejwanong First Nation Public Library is a welcoming and helpful life-long learning community resource that encourages the sharing of and respect for Library materials and resources.

What We Offer

We aim to provide for the informational needs of our community. We offer a large collection of books, magazines and web resources, as well as an extensive Native collection. Please feel free to stop in and visit!

Library History

Bkejwanong First Nation Public Library began in 1967 out of an old Customs building upfront. Since then, the Library moved to the Walpole Island Elementary School. We got our own building in 1994, and have been here ever since.

WIFN Library Committee

Library Committee meetings are generally the third Thursday of the month at 3 pm.  If you have an item for consideration on the agenda it should be submitted 24 hours before the meeting.
